GREAT TIMES FOR
A GREAT CAUSE
MAKS Corp. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Northwest Indiana, dedicated to offering essential personal care and comfort to local foster children facing adversity.
Our mission is clear: we strive to provide crucial personal care items to these children during their challenging transitions from one home to another. Additionally, we extend our support by offering a wide array of essentials, ranging from clothing to furniture, through our complimentary storefront, ensuring they find solace and stability in their new environments.
WHO YOUR
DONATIONS HELP
Foster Parents
"Many people believe they cannot bring foster children into their homes because they are afraid they may become too attached and later the children may have to leave. But we can do hard things. When we do hard things and take care of our weakest, we strengthen everyone. Sharing our love and resources shows kids that there are people out there who care for and love them. We are a village, and sometimes it takes a village to raise our kids in care."

Kinship Families
My oldest foster child inspired me to help others, showing me firsthand how much children in care and their families need support. Her journey opened my eyes to the profound impact a caring partner can have, and I am committed to making their lives a bit easier while they navigate the challenges of being away from home.

Volunteers
Cathy M., a retiree from Chesterton enjoys sorting and hanging clothing donations, organizing and tidying up merchandise, and doing whatever else needs to be done. “I like that fact that I am helping the helpers, the people who are doing the hard thing- foster parenting. I am able to come in once a week for an hour or so, and when I leave I feel like I have accomplished something.”
